Playing

To bring in funds continually throughout the year, we are asking people to commit to playing The Martlets Hospice Lottery every week, rather than playing every so often. This way we can reduce costs and maximise the money that can be used for patient care.

Players MUST be 16 years of age or older and be resident in England, Scotland or Wales.

The cost of playing is just £1 per week, per entry.

You can have as many entries as you like each week.

When you start to play our lottery you will be given a unique number for each of your entries, which you keep for as long as you play the lottery. Every one of the lottery numbers are chosen at random by a computer so, no other Martlets Hospice Lottery player will have that number or numbers. This means you will not have to share any prize you win.

The weekly draw is made by computer every Friday.

The prizes guaranteed to be paid out every week are:

TOP PRIZE £1000

2nd Prize £150, 3rd Prize £100, 4th Prize £50 and 40 x £5 prizes.

All the prizes must be won each week, there are no rollovers.

You do not need to claim any prize you win, as a cheque is sent to all our winners within a few days of the draw.

If you wish to check the winning numbers, they are displayed in the Hospice itself, the Martlets Hospice shops at Brighton, Hove, Lewes, Peacehaven and Saltdean, at the Furniture Showroom located off the Old Shoreham Road and are usually printed in The Argus newspaper on Saturday (not guaranteed).

They are also updated on our website here …..

Money for draws that have already taken place cannot be accepted.

Once you have paid your money for a draw or draws, it cannot be refunded.

Lottery numbers cannot be transferred into another person’s name.

After running costs and prizes are paid, ALL profits from the lottery go directly to The Martlets Hospice.

Your chances of winning one of the lottery prizes can be calculated by dividing the number of lottery numbers in the draw that week by the number of prizes offered (44). The number of lottery numbers to be entered into the draw in any week depends on how many are paid for and this can only be ascertained at the time of the draw as lottery numbers may be entered into the weekly draw up to the time it is actually conducted. Contact the lottery office on 01273 747455 ext 4 on Friday afternoon, if you wish to find out how many lottery members were in the draw that week.

Any information given by lottery members will be stored on computer systems, which are registered in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1984. The information will be used only by The Martlets Hospice and The Martlets Hospice Lottery. You may at any time ask for details of payments and winnings on any of your own lottery numbers. Proof of identity will be required before any information is given out.

The Martlets Hospice Lottery debit/credit card procedures comply with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards.
